Make sure the date is fresh for adhesion
I've been blasting for 30 years and have used Anchor and Hartco. My latest experience with Hartco high grip is it often fails to stick. Applied to painted foam or wood in 67 degree garage and within hours, it is all curling at edges. Hartco blames it on a short shelf life and dates are close and need to be watched carefully. Also, responds poorly to a cold sand blast booth, which is in specs, I think. Solution is stapling it down at edges when it comes up during blasting and filling holes later and also take a hard roller and go over it all often to help hold it down right before blasting. See pics of edges coming up from painted, cured sign enamel on wood. The good news it it seldom pulls up any paint or wood with it when removing it.
