Rated 2 out of 5 by Dannyboy from Confusing clear film overlay, no directions. I bought 9 of these for golf course hole signs with the intent to apply vinyl graphics and lettering. These sign blanks come with a thick clear film overlay, which oddly covered the mounting holes and had no instructions on whether to peel it off or keep it on. All of the smaller sign blanks I buy have a protective film, so I peeled it off. Some of the blanks had peeling overlay on the corners. I assumed vinyl should be applied directly on aluminum and not on top of an overlay. I found out later that the film overlay was not intended to be removed. Now I'm not sure of all my graphics, border and text will last very long in the Florida sun. I would suggest to Grimco that they include instructions as most of my sign blanks come with a removable protective film.
